Fireplace Technician Trainee

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: In Office; Portland/Tualatin, OR

Wage Scale: $20.00 - $23.00

Benefits: Full-time Regular Employees (and their families) can enroll in medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and 401K. Employees will also accrue 80 hours of vacation per year for the first 9 years and eight paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic fireplace service tasks, including lighting off and inspecting gas fireplaces under supervision.
• Work closely under the guidance of the trainer service technician, providing direct support in preparing tools, equipment, and materials for daily service calls.
• Learn to identify and document any visible issues or maintenance needs using basic company-provided tools and systems.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members while onsite.
• Undergo up to 90 days of hands-on training to ensure readiness for full responsibilities and field assignments.
• Follow safety guidelines and company procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

No experience needed. We provide training and personal protective equipment

(including yearly boot allowance)

Requirements:

• Previous technician experience is preferred but not required.
• Able to operate iPad/iPhone to follow assigned schedules and accurately record job-related notes.
• Both written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs or more.
• Valid WA Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Ability to follow your designated schedule.
• Regular attendance is required.
