RISK/SAFETY INTERN

POSITION TYPE:    Full-Time, Hourly

LOCATION:              Sacramento, CA

WAGE SCALE:       $20-$22

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with various Risk Management projects including but not limited to: Safety Training, DOT compliance, GPS installation on company vehicles, safety or compliance related databases, permits and registrations, driver record monitoring, etc.
• Updates, tracks, and organizes Safety forms for locations.
• Distributes materials to various locations.
• Performs general office duties such as answering/attending to phone calls, making copies, mailing letters and packages.
• Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled and taking classes towards a Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis or concentration in Occupational Health, Safety, or Risk Management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers, co-workers and managers.
• Ability to multi-task with excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge on the usage of PC, Printers, Digital Copier and Digital Scanner.
• Knowledge of a variety of software including but not limited to MS Office applications, SAP Easy Access, and Adobe Professional.
