FINANCE REPRESENTATIVE

POSITION TYPE:   Full-Time, Hourly

LOCATION:            Sacramento  

WAGE SCALE:       $22.00-$24.00

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews credit and collections processes, identifies areas of improvement, and makes recommendations for improving processes and procedures.

• Monitors legal accounts, retention accounts, bad debt accounts, returned checks and credit card charge backs.
• Runs and analyzes reports to assist in the monitoring and collection of AR.
• Assists in location collection activities.
• Assists with accounts payable functions.
• Tracks and uploads AR for newly acquired businesses.
• Maintains credit limits on contracts and open accounts.
• Various administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to filing, union benefit reporting and maintaining contractor’s license.
• Abide by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions and reported and corrected.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college in Business Administration Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 1-2 years finance experience preferably in construction, contracting or building materials environment (or equivalent combination in education and experience).
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents such as financial statements, technical journals, and legal documents.
• Ability to negotiate with internal and external sources.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
