Diamond Pacific is a division of Pacific Coast Supply, which is a distributor of building products with over 40 locations throughout the Western United States and has been serving the needs of the construction industry and communities for 65 years. We are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team in Auburn, CA.

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Logistics Manager will be responsible for the timely and accurate shipping and receiving of all materials entering and leaving the branch. The Logistics Manager will also be responsible for the supervision of yard personnel.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Furnishes a load list with truck loading instructions and delivery sequence to yard personnel.
  • Coordinates daily pre-staging of loads and the following day’s schedules ensuring speedy in-and-out times of trucks on second and third runs.
  • Utilizes load consolidation techniques to maximize load-per-truck efficiency. Organizes drivers to ensure most efficient service to customer. Re-routes drivers as necessary to accommodate special requests. Accurately schedules time required for loading/stocking materials at job sites.
  • Responsible for computing hourly time cards and weekly time reports.
  • Assists in maintaining the general health and welfare of all employees, customers and those in public contact with our operational services within the established guidelines of safety processes, policies and regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating history files on all vehicles in fleet, such as registrations, maintenance records, daily vehicle checks and mileage summaries as required by administration. Completes and turns in vehicle mileage summary set by fleet department on a monthly basis.
  • Ensures that all employees are licensed/certified to operate vehicles and equipment and are in compliance with personnel policies/procedures, rules and DOT regulations as set forth by the Company.

 

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience preferred but not required.
  • Multi-vehicle scheduling experience preferred but not required.
  • Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as weights of loads, distance, drive time, loading/stocking time, etc., using calculator and mileage tables.
  • Must be able to work Saturdays on rotating schedule.
