About the Role

We are seeking a Network Engineer I to join our Network Operations team. This role supports the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise network systems across our corporate environment. The Network Engineer I works closely with senior network staff and other IT teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable network operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career network engineer looking to grow technical skills in routing, switching, firewalls, and WAN technologies within a collaborative IT environment.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with the configuration, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of enterprise network equipment
  • Support Internet, SD‑WAN, and other WAN circuits in coordination with carriers
  • Perform day‑to‑day network system administration to ensure continuous operations
  • Participate in network expansion, relocation, and consolidation projects across corporate locations
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configurations
  • Follow established Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum activities with the IT systems team
  • Research emerging network technologies, products, and standards
  • Provide on‑call support as needed to restore production systems
  • Perform additional duties and projects as business needs require

 

What We’re Looking For

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in a networking or infrastructure role
  • Foundational knowledge of networking concepts including:
    • OSI model, TCP/IP, IPv4 (working knowledge of IPv6 preferred)
    • Layer 2 / Layer 3 routing and switching
  • Experience working with Cisco IOS or data center networking products
  • Familiarity with network monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting tools
  • Ability to read technical diagrams, documentation, and specifications
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

 

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to technologies such as Cisco, HP, Aruba, Palo Alto, Check Point, F5, Infoblox, SolarWinds, or similar
  • Experience with dynamic routing protocols
  • Knowledge of voice and data circuit testing tools and procedures

 

Certifications

  • Cisco CCNA, Aruba ACSA, or equivalent certification preferred

 

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Combination of office and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to lift up to 65 pounds occasionally
  • May require climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and variable temperatures
  • Up to 30% travel as required
  • Regular, reliable attendance is essential
