About the Job
Pacific Coast Building Products, Inc. (PCCI) is seeking an experienced Litigation & Employment Counsel to represent PCCI and its sister subsidiaries across a wide range of litigation matters. This role plays a key part in protecting the company’s legal interests while partnering with senior leadership to reduce risk, improve processes, and support long-term business objectives.

About The Role
Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will manage and oversee litigation matters spanning employment law, OSHA, construction defects, and collections. You will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and field teams, coordinate with outside counsel, and help shape corporate legal policies and risk management strategies across PCCI and its subsidiaries.
What You’ll Do
- Represent PCCI and its subsidiaries in a variety of litigation matters, including:
- Employment-related claims (wrongful termination, wage and hour, PAGA, and related matters)
- Construction defect litigation
- OSHA citations
- Residential and commercial collections matters
- Other litigation issues as they arise
- Advise executives, managers, and field personnel on legal matters and risk implications
- Conduct legal research in support of litigation and transactional matters
- Manage, oversee, and strategize with outside counsel on class actions and complex litigation
- Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, corporate, and risk management requirements
- Recommend alternative actions to minimize liability, manage risk, and optimize contract value
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate legal policies, procedures, and programs
- Coordinate and manage responses to subpoenas
- Provide strategic insights to senior management based on litigation outcomes and trends
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Minimum of five (5) years of related legal experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Active California Bar License (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong litigation experience, particularly in employment law and regulatory matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership and boards
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with standard office software and legal research tools
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple levels of the organization
Work Style & Requirements
- Regular in-office attendance is required
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods
- Occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds
- Some travel may be required depending on litigation needs and locations

Pay Range:
$150,000 – $170,000 per year
Variables in stated pay may be attributed to education, experience, regional location, minimum wages, and internal promotions may include factors such as merit and seniority.
