PABCO - Maintenance Planner

PABCO® Paper, a division of PABCO® Building Products LLC, produces paper products to serve the building and packaging industries.  Located in Southern California, we use pre- and post-consumer waste to make the gypsum liner and specialty chip papers.  

This position is responsible for acting as the liason between Production, Maintenance, Engineering and Technical Services to ensure that maintenance requirements are met. Performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the maintenance department.

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilitiesmay include some or all of the following

  • Facilitate weekly, daily, and other long-term project planning and scheduling meetings.
  • Prepare weekly work plans and schedules for major projects.
  • Assist in preparing daily work schedules as assigned.
  • Order and locate parts for planned work.
  • Assist in coordination of maintenance activities with production and engineering.
  • Maintain log of equipment maintenance.
  • Communicate safety and environmental requirements within the job plans.
  • Monitor and control maintenance material and supply costs.
  • Handling of purchase orders.
  • Deliver formal reports.
  • Maintenance work area according to company standards for safety and cleanliness.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representative.Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies 
  • Ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

 

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

Education/Experience:

  • One (1) year certificate from college or technical school.
  • Two years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Requires good reading, writing and mathematical skills.

 

Communication Ability:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively to other employee, customers and vendors.

 

Equipment Skills:

  • Must be able to operate a personal computer plus related software and other various standard office machines and equipment necessary to complete duties.
  • Working knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems software preferred, but not required.
