PABCO Roofing is looking for its next Trucking Supervisor to lead our team of Class A Truck Drivers. We're looking for a caring, consistent, big picture thinking Supervisor to help ensure we're safe and DOT compliant. 


The best person for this position is able to train and set the example by being Class A licensed themselves, including hazmat and tanker endorsements. A TWIC card is also necessary but can be acquired post offer. They share an unwavering commitment to safe practices with their Drivers. They can easily maneuver the Microsoft Suite of programs, are a great communicator - both written and verbal, and welcome technology as a tool, not a nuisance. If this is you then we need to talk!


Essential Duties And Responsibilitiesmay include some or all of the following:

  • Coordinates schedule for raw material deliveries, shingle deliveries and raw material pick-ups.
  • Supervises and trains Truck drivers and the Warehouse Forklift/Sweeper Operator.
  • Holds monthly Truck Safety Meetings.
  • Responsible for warehouse maintenance, utilization, organization and cleanliness.
  • Manages inventory control of all asphalt products.
  • Schedules scrap and garbage removal.
  • Coordinates raw material delivery, scrap removal and garbage pick-up with the Shipping Manager and Trucking and Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Participates in Raw Material TAG inventory.
  • Coordinates, schedules, and reviews preventative maintenance program for all tractors and trailers.
  • Makes recommendations for the purchase or leasing of new trucks, tankers and trailers and/or modifications to the existing equipment.
  • Insures that personnel abide by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies and that any hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representative.
  • Backs-up Shipping Manager and/or Granule Plant Superintendent during scheduled or unscheduled absences.
  • Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • All other special projects or tasks as assigned




Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



  • High School education or equivalent required.
  • One year of warehouse experience required.
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Ability:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 


  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and/or customers/vendors.

Math Ability:

  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. 
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

  • Must be able to operate a personal computer plus related software and other various standard office machines and equipment necessary to complete duties.
