Do you have an interest in exploring your chosen field in Manufacturing? PABCO Roofing in Tacoma, WA is currently accepting resumes from Junior and Senior students for a Process Engineering Intern to work on a variety of projects in the manufacturing plant.  Candidates should have a strong interest in working in an Industrial environment and becoming a positive addition to our Engineering team on a full-time basis for the summer season. This paid opportunity is for current college students pursuing a degree in either Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering and will focus on plant efficiency. 

 

Qualified applicants will have the following:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in the field of Engineering with a strong desire to learn and gain experience in the field of manufacturing.
  • Must have knowledge of CAD software (preferably Auto CAD or Solid Works) to assist with updating or creating plant drawings.
  • A desire to work in an industrial environment learning our plant processes;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with your internal customers - our plant personnel;
  • Willingness to be flexible with your schedule, working environment (both an office and a production facility) and job tasks.

  •  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:

  • Must be able to operate a personal computer and equipment necessary to complete duties.
  • Must be proficient or expert level at the following programs: Microsoft Office Suite, CAD software with a preference towards Solidworks.
