PABCO-Staff Accountant

PABCO Roofing Products is seeking a detail oriented and analytical Staff Accountant I to support the financial operations of the business. This role assists with financial reporting, month end close activities, budgeting, audits, financial analysis, and other accounting functions that help drive informed business decisions. 

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with month end financial reports, operating profit summaries, and balance sheets. 
• Support general accounting functions, including monthly close activities and financial analysis.
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes and related procedures.
• Participate in internal and external audits. 
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports and recommendations for management.
• Assist with year end inventory procedures.
• Document accounting and administrative policies and procedures.
• Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four or more years of accounting experience preferred. 
• Manufacturing, construction, contracting, or building materials industry experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Pay Range: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
