Manager, Engineering

PABCO Roofing is looking for our next Engineering Manager. Here are the details:

• Supervises mechanics and checks finished work.
• Investigates and troubleshoots all mechanical equipment.
• Locates replacement parts and substitutes as needed.
• Determines when shut downs are necessary and estimates downtime.
• Oversees repair procedures and assists in defining extent of problem.
• Plans and prepares work schedules and wash up days.
• Requisitions materials.
• Trains, promotes, disciplines, and terminates subordinate personnel.
• Communicates with vendors.
• Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• Responsible for the recruitment, performance, development, promotion, and discipline of production employees.  Assigns objectives and conducts performance appraisals of direct reports.
• All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: 

• Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and
• three (3) to four (4) year-related experience and or/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.

Compensation range: $102,000-136,000 annually
