Starting in our Production department means you're ready to be there for your team, through regular attendance and a steadfast commitment to safe work practices. This position assists with the production, packaging, and quality of various roofing products.

 

Here are the details:

 

  • Performs inventory control functions and required paperwork. 
  • Learn and understand the positions in the Level I position.
  • Embrace quality standards and perform checks on the line to ensure quality shingles are being produced.
  • Maintain open and consistent communications with the shift supervisor as well as the line inspector. 
  • Cleans work area and equipment.
  • Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

 

The work environment can include the following:

  • Working near moving mechanical parts.
  • Extreme heat or cold (both weather & non-weather).
  • Fumes or airborne particles
  • Vibrations
  • Exposure to loud noise
  • Uneven ground

 

This position is physically demanding and requires the following:

  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Talk and listen
  • Stand, walk and sit
  • Bend at the waist
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular attendance is required

 

Additional requirements are the ability to perform basic math and use a measuring tape.

 

Local Wages:      Production Level I Machine Operator range is $23.79, with the opportunity for pay progression up to Level V with the required training and tenure.
