What’s the Job?

As a Night Lab Tech, you’re an essential part of our Quality team. Your role is to perform testing and inspections to make sure raw materials and finished products meet PABCO’s standards — and you’re a key piece in delivering a consistent, reliable product to our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inspect finished products on the production line for defects.
  • Perform Asphalt testing following PABCO and industry procedures.
  • Validate granule coverage, color, back coating, sealant, and laminate bond.
  • Communicate test results to production, supervisors, and Quality control.
  • Provide recommendations to adjust machinery when process controls are off.
  • Perform gradation sieve analysis on Aggregate and Limestone.
  • Test properties of Fiberglass Mat.
  • Analyze customer complaints when necessary.
  • Calibrate and perform maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Keep accurate and clear laboratory documentation.
  • Operate a computer, microscope, scale, and other lab equipment.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean lab.
  • Follow all safety procedures and promptly report hazardous conditions.
  • Handle special projects and tasks as assigned.

Compensation:

  • $30.20 – 33.30/hr (overtime eligible)
