This position is responsible for the development, installation, and maintenance of the plant’s basic to moderately complex electrical and electronic control systems.

 

Job description:

  • Design, commission, troubleshoot, and support industrial controls.
  • Work on and troubleshoot Rockwell RSLogix5000 PLC systems.
  • Work on and modify HMI’s using Rockwell FactoryTalk Studio.
  • Maintains detailed mapping of Ethernet networks including IP addresses, wiring switches, and cable patching.
  • Learn, create, and optimize company standards for electrical & controls systems
  • Maintain electrical documentation & drawings.
  • Work closely with engineering & production to optimize controls.
  • Oversee contractors during installation to ensure work is accomplished in a safe & timely manner.
  • Manage vendors to ensure deliveries meet deadlines and meet required specifications.
  • Effectively communicate the process concepts to internal and external clients.
  • Assist with or lead problem solving activities & discussions with production, management, and maintenance staff.
  • Performs advanced electrician duties including but not limited to: using a voltage meter to check high and low voltage reading on equipment, checking for open circuits for line voltage, troubleshooting frequency, drives for proper operation understanding all aspects of an electrical schematic and troubleshooting/replacing I/O modules in a PLC.
  • Research & identify new manufacturing technologies as they become available; Communicate new ideas to Management.
  • Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving, quality, safety, production, efficiencies, and costs.
  • Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative systems that optimize all phases of production process.

 

Local Wages:            DOE, non-exempt range from $45.00-$55.00

                                    With overtime opportunities.

Compensation:

Salary range: $93,000-115,000

 

Proficiencies:

 

PLC Systems and hardware:

  • Relay logic, wiring I/O in control systems.
  • Rockwell Ladder Logic programming, RSLogix5000 required.
  • HMI programming, FactoryTalk Studio required.
  • VFD commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Wireless communications & programming various types of sensors & instrumentation.
  • Fundamental understanding of network routers, switches, IP addressing & subnetting.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or an equivalent Industrial Engineering Technology degree.
  • Associate degree with 5+ years’ experience accepted.
  • Minimum 3 years working with PLC’s & HMI’s in a manufacturing environment.
