Our South Gate location is currently seeking a Reload & Distribution Manager.


Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the daily yard operations in South Gate, CA. 

Supervision Received:

Works somewhat autonomously under the general direction of a senior manager or executive.

Supervision Exercised:

Manages activities of team which may include supervisors, managers and/or individual contributors. Responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: may include some or all of the following:

  • Supervises staff, including but not limited to, hiring, performance management, disciplinary action, and termination.  Staff typically includes yard workers and an office assistant.
  • Assists customers and inputs orders into the system.
  • Responsible for inventory levels and resolving discrepancies.
  • Regularly inspects company equipment, buildings, and property; oversees maintenance of property.
  • Ensures all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and according to all specifications.
  • Manages the functions of safety, environmental, human resources and payroll for the location.
  • Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.

Responsible for the recruitment, performance, development, promotion, and discipline of production employees.  Assigns objectives and conducts performance appraisals of direct reports.


QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and
  • five (5) to eight (8) years related experience and/or training; or
  • equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication Ability:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, co-workers, and vendors
