PABCO, Building Products LLC. is looking for a Subsidiary HR Coordinator/Recruiter at our HQ office in Rancho Cordova.


This position provides HR expertise and support to the locations in one or more of the following areas: recruiting, employee relations, compensation, and/or training & development. This position is responsible for administering human resources policies, procedures and practices in accordance with subsidiary objectives and federal and state legal requirements.


At this time, the role will be heavily involved and responsible for company recruiting efforts with the position evolving into other HR areas in the future.


The Job:



  • Demonstrates the company values and supports management and HR team to ensure behavior within the location/division is consistent with the company values.
  • Gain credibility by building collaborative relationships with the locations, with counterparts at other subsidiaries and with PCCI.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing subsidiary initiatives, in areas of expertise, in support of HR and overall company strategy.
  • May be requested to gather and analyze various HR related data for process improvement, and program success measurements.
  • May support wellness administration, including company-wide challenges, events and research as needed.



Talent Acquisition:

  • Identifies key sources of potential candidates.
  • Responsible to build/establish relationships with trade schools, colleges and other sources for candidates.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of job postings and related costs.
  • Actively recruits for open positions at all locations within the division.
  • May coordinate pre-hire activities including employee physicals, offer letters, background checks and drug screens
  • Screens and interviews potential candidates and makes recommendations regarding suitability for the position.
  • May coordinates new hire efforts: new hire paperwork, orientation, benefit overview, payroll and timekeeping.
  • Reviews new hire salary offers for internal equity and consistency with compensation guidelines
  • Responsible for recruiting marketing efforts, managing recruiting campaigns and evaluating campaign effectiveness.
  • Evaluates and implements processes to streamline the recruiting and onboarding efforts.
  • Manages third party recruiting relationships.
  • Monitors temp agency relationships and contracts.


This position may also provide support in the following areas: Employee Relations, Compensation, Training, Administrative and Compliance.



Successful Candidates Will Have: 



  • College degree (GED); and
  • Three (3) or more years related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) or more years related recruiting experience


Communication Ability:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, co-workers and vendors.
