 About the Job:

PABCO is supportive of student education through experiential development. We are seeking a part-time human resources intern to join our team! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting people and fostering a positive work culture and is eager to gain hands-on experience in the human resources field. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work out of our headquarters office while supporting our locations and learning about HR operations.  This role will report directly to the Human Resource Manager in Rancho Cordova, CA.

 

Length of internship: 3-6 months

Start: March 2025

 

Schedule: Part-time with room for flexibility.

What type of tasks will you be doing?

 

Assist with Recruitment Activities:

  • Assist in posting job openings on various job boards and internal platforms.
  • Help maintain candidate records and update databases.

Support Onboarding:

  • Assist in the pre-employment process as needed.
  • Prepare new hire paperwork and documentation.
  • Assist in organizing and preparing materials for employee orientations.
  • Help ensure all necessary onboarding processes are completed.

Employee Records Management:

  • Maintain and update employee files, ensuring they are accurate and up to date (using physical forms or the human resources management system SuccessFactors).

Assist with HR Administrative Tasks:

  • Answer basic HR-related inquiries via email or phone.
  • Organize and file HR-related documents.
  • Help prepare reports related to employee data and HR metrics.
  • Assist with organizing company activities, meetings, or social events.
  • Assist HR team members with various administrative tasks.
  • May assist in creating HR-related infographics or announcements using Canva.

 

What are the skills that will make you stand out?

 

  • Strong interest in human resources and learning more about the field.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous office or administrative experience is a plus but not required.
  • Bilingual: Spanish/English a plus.

 

Your ‘I’m Doing It’ Fund (Compensation)

 

  • $21.00 per hour

This internship can provide valuable learning opportunities while keeping the workload appropriate for someone just starting out and/or juggling school and work.
