PABCO® Building Products, LLC is one of the manufacturing arms of Pacific Coast Building Products with its divisions: PABCO Gypsum, PABCO Paper and PABCO Roofing Products servicing the building industry in the western United States and Canada.

The Rancho Cordova, CA location is currently accepting resumes for an Environmental Health & Safety Intern.  This position is responsible for supporting the company EH&S function at the subsidiary level. This includes implementing and maintaining new safety management software, as well as maintaining a variety of health, safety, and environmental policies and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Implement new safety software
  • Performs research on OSHA, Cal/OHSA and WISHA regulations.
  • Assists with various projects including: Safety and Risk management.
  • Updates, organizes and posts safety forms and files both electronic and paper
  • Analyzes historical data and recommends relevant reporting and metrics to measure safety performance.
  • May assist with job site inspections, yard inspections and vehicle inspections
  • Performs general office duties such as, answering/attending to phone calls, making copies
  • Supports locations in the development of job hazard analysis, ergonomic risk assessments and safety training
  • May assist with developing/maintaining the Site Preparedness and Emergency Action Plans templates and plan documents.
  • Monitor and review recorded incidents, ensure investigations are thoroughly completed and timely.


Successful candidates will have:

  • Currently enrolled and taking classes towards a Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis or concentration in Occupational Health and Safety or Construction management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers, co-workers and managers.
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge on the usage of PC, Printers, Digital Copier and Digital Scanner.
  • Knowledge of a variety of software including but not limited to MS Office applications, SAP Easy Access, and Adobe Professional.
  • Regular attendance is required.
