The Rancho Cordova, CA location is currently accepting resumes for an Administrative Assistant.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:  may include some or all of the following:

  • Answers telephone calls and refers calls to appropriate staff.  Greets and answers questions from visitors.
  • Regularly prepares/compiles and distributes routine to moderately complex reports.
  • Prepares correspondence generated by management and other staff.
  • Prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports.
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail and faxes.
  • Plans and arranges travel for management and staff.
  • May be responsible for maintaining and distributing petty cash.
  • Maintains inventory and purchases office supplies as needed.
  • Organizes plant tours and lunches for visitors.
  • Abides by all safety rules and regulations set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Performs all other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; and
  • three (3) – five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or
  • equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Communication Ability:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and/or customers/vendors.

 

Math Ability:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:

  • Must be able to operate a personal computer and other various standard office machines and equipment necessary to complete duties. Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Talk and listen.
  • Stand, walk, and sit.
  • Bend at the waist.
