Project Engineer
What’s the job?
- Investigates personnel and equipment problems, recurring problems, new equipment and procedures. Provides recommendations to address the issues.
- Recommends and implements manufacturing improvement projects, including line improvements and process flow improvements.
- Works closely with maintenance supervisor on daily maintenance schedules.
- May have some responsibility for purchasing, inventory, and budget control, as it relates to parts and equipment.
- Develops plans for equipment installation and upgrades.
- Develops and implements a production maintenance program for the plant.
- Designs machinery and parts that need to be machined.
- Communicates with machine shops to order parts for designed projects and ensure that they are made according to plant specifications.
- Redesigns existing machinery.
- Prepares drawings, plans, specifications for parts and installation.
- Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years working or internship experience in Industrial or Manufacturing environment, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Here at our Newark location, we make Gypsum Wallboard. Your job as a Project Engineer is to use your engineering skills and experience towards developing plans for the maintenance and enhancement of plant equipment and plant process improvements.
Salary offered depends on experience: $75,000 - $100,000 annualized salary
