Mechanical Engineer

What is the Job?
- Investigates personnel and equipment problems, recurring problems, new equipment, and procedures. Provides recommendations to address the issues.
- Recommends and implements manufacturing improvement projects, including line improvements and process flow improvements.
- Works closely with the Maintenance Department to provide appropriate planning and scheduling.
- May have some responsibility for purchasing, inventory, and budget controls, as it relates to parts and equipment.
- Coordinates and oversees facility projects.
- Develops plans for equipment installation and upgrades.
- Develops and implements a production maintenance program for the plant.
- May assist with plant operations.
- May design machinery and parts to be machined.
- May prepare drawings, plans, and specifications for parts and installation.
- All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 0 – 3 years’ experience, manufacturing experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Five (5) years in the gypsum industry preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

At our Newark location, we make Gypsum Wallboard. Your job as a Mechanical Engineer is to use engineering skills and experience to develop plans for the maintenance and enhancement of plant equipment and plant process improvements.

Salary offered depends on experience: $75,000 - $95,000 annualized salary.
