Industrial Electrician

PABCO® Gypsum, a division of PABCO® Building Products LLC, has provided quality gypsum board products and service for over 35 years.  PABCO® Gypsum supplies a complete line of gypsum products for commercial and residential construction.

What is the Job?

• Troubleshooting and repairing all electrical and simple mechanical and instrumental equipment.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Designing and assembling motor starters and electrical controls.
• Working with pneumatic, hydraulic, and AC Drive systems.
• Running conduit, pulling wire, and making solid connections.
• Performing some welding.
• Troubleshooting PLC and AC Drive systems.
• Works extended hours and responds to repair calls at any hour of the day to keep the mill in operation.
• Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Maintain work area per plant standard for safety, efficiency, and cleanliness.
• Attend safety meetings and abide by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned. 

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent.
• Two (2) of more years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Willingness to work extended hours and respond to urgent repairs, when needed.

What is the pay?

• Wage offered depends on experience. This is an hourly position and with overtime has the potential to earn: $90,000 - $130,000 / year.

What is the Work Schedule?

• Typically, the schedule is 6 am – 2:30 pm.
• Must be available for work on weekends and call in for upset conditions during off hours.

At our Newark location, we make Gypsum Wallboard. Your job as an Industrial Electrician is to troubleshoot and repair all electrical equipment and controls, mechanical equipment, and instrumentation.
