This position is responsible for maintaining diesel equipment, vehicles, and mobile equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES including but are not limited to:

 

  • Analyzes and diagnoses engine problems and any other problems related to company vehicles.
  • Maintains and performs preventative maintenance program for various company vehicles including forklifts.
  • Services diesel equipment according to DOT regulatory compliance.
  • Repairs and/or replaces hydraulic cylinders and motors.
  • Replaces broken and worn parts including pneumatic breaks.
  • Familiar with rebuilds of mobile equipment components.
  • Purchases and picks up parts when required.
  • Maintains calendar of all repairs and preventative maintenance needed and performed.
  • Operates various garage tools and instruments.
  • Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Maintains work area according to plant standard for safety, efficiency and cleanliness.
  • Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • High school diploma 
  • Requires 2 or more years related experience and/or training
