Local Class A Driver (Grave Shift)

This is a graveyard shift opportunity—perfect for night drivers who want steady, local routes and a long-term career.

The Newark, CA plant is currently accepting resumes for a Class A Driver. This position is responsible for following all DOT-regulations while operating a tractor with a set of double trailers to transport materials.

What is the Job?

• Drive a local route.
• Perform daily truck inspections.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished product.
• Operate forklifts, heavy equipment, and double trailers (Class A with doubles endorsement required).
• Ensure the safe and timely transportation of materials.
• Follow all compliance regulations in operating tractors, trailers and heavy equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area, and participate in required safety meetings.
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Valid Class A License with Doubles Endorsement.
• Clean driving record.
• Three (3) of more years of operating with a Class A License.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and double trailers safely.

What is the Pay?

• This is an hourly position, and with overtime, has the potential to earn: $71,000 - $105,000 / year.

What is the Work Schedule?

• This is a grave shift position.
• Typically the schedule is 9:45 PM – 6:15 AM. There may be variations to schedule depending on the business need.
• Probability of Overtime and Weekends.
