PABCO Gypsum Las Vegas, a wallboard manufacturing Company, is now hiring a Quality Control Supervisor to be responsible for ensuring products like wallboard meets the standards through testing raw materials and finished goods.

What’s the work Schedule? 

 

  • Regular schedule: Monday – Friday 7 am to 3 pm

 

What’s the Job?

 

  • Supervises a department crew and oversees their daily work.
  • May conduct lab test to develop or modify formulations of products.
  • Determine physio-chemical and mechanical properties of the products developed.
  • Document test results and procedures in standard formats and publish summary.
  • Preparation and testing of samples using proper ASTM and UL procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with ASTM standards and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Optimize process parameters and train operators.
  • Develop test methods and inspect incoming raw materials.
  • Evaluate new and alternate raw materials for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Summarize production data and publish reports monthly.
  • Ensure adherence to good laboratory practices and all safety regulations in the lab and manufacturing areas.
  • Coordinate shipping of test samples to laboratory facilities.
  • Knowledge of wallboard application in the construction industry.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues to include customer complaints. Complete investigations and publish reports.
  • Propose and implement recommendations for processes and procedures to increase efficiency, safety or quality.
  • Support manufacturing operation activities as needed.
  • Ability to travel as required by the Company.
  • Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.

 

Salary range of $32 to $48 per hour depending on experience 

 

You and your experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or related technical fields.
  • Three (3) years of more of lab management experience, preferably in gypsum or related building materials manufacturing.

  • Previous manufacturing, chemistry and chemical engineering experience
