ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: may include some or all of the following:


  • Implemented process improvements to improve quality, performs quality test on PABCO wallboard and additives and reduce cost
  • Design detailed project plans with manufacturing and sales teams to manage all aspects of product development and production
  • Working in partnership with a team of supervisors and foreman to achieve significant improvements in productivity and identify and correct production and quality problems
  • Preparation and testing of samples using proper ASTM procedures
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
  • Developed a strong knowledge base in a variety of lab safety procedures and types of equipment
  • Performs procedures and calculations crucial to quality controls, including rapid phase analyzer, moisture analyzer, sedimentation testing, surface area, emulsion stability, stucco purity, pH testing, centrifugation and volumetric titrations
  • Prepare, weigh, and treat samples for Fire Assay
  • High volumes of mineral processing to ensure rock purity
  • Creates and edits board formulation sheets
  • Operate Sub Sieve Sizer to measure and analyze surface area of samples
  • Operate Micron Powder Systems to test particle size
  • Record test results on standardized forms and data capture test results
  • Accurately complete and maintain all lab reports
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be willing to work in a manufacturing facility and work safely around operating equipment.




  • College preferred
  • Up to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
