PABCO Gypsum Las Vegas a wallboard manufacturing Company is now hiring a Health & Safety Coordinator to be responsible for planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

What’s the work Schedule? 

 

  • Regular schedule: Monday – Friday 7 am to 3 pm with potential after hours calls

 

What’s the Job?

 

  • Performs and coordinates job safety analysis, risk assessments and creates action plans to reduce risk.
  • Manages worker's compensation at the plant level, working closely with the risk management, supervisors, and managers.
  • Actively involved in modified duty or return to work process.
  • Assist with maintaining the site preparedness, emergency plans, injury and illness plans.
  • Performs accident and incident investigations which occur in the area of responsibility, safety policy & procedures.  
  • Conduct regular safety audits, reporting, and managing the corrective actions with focus on root cause to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding worker training and safety.
  • Provides effective safety training including but not limited to: forklift operation, hearing conservation, lockout/tag out, exposure programs, PPE, HazCom, hoist inspections, confined spaces, hot work, etc.
  • Prepares and conducts employee training and safety meetings.
  • Responsible for ensuring job safety analysis documents are complete for each production position, including Lock Out Tag Out policies.

 

You and your experience:

 

  • Associate degree from two-year college or university in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five (3-5) years in Health & Safety; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Industrial, Mining or Manufacturing.
