Here at our Las Vegas location, we make Gypsum Wallboard. Your job as a Diesel Forklift Mechanic operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments.

What’s the work Schedule? 

 

  • Regular schedule: Monday – Friday 7 am to 3 pm with potential after hours calls, overtime and weekends.  Holiday work is mandatory if scheduled.

What's the pay rate?

 

  • Pay wage:  $36.06 per hour

What’s the Job?

 

  • Analyzes and diagnose engine problems and any other problems related to company vehicles.
  • Perform tune ups on company cars, Hyster forklifts, equipment, etc. 
  • Services diesel equipment according to DOT regulatory compliance.
  • Maintains and performs preventative maintenance program for various company vehicles including forklifts.
  • Repairs and/or replaces hydraulic cylinders and motors.
  • Replaces broken and worn parts including pneumatic breaks.
  • Fabrication as needed
  • Tests and rewires all types of electrical parts.
  • Rebuilds engines, carburetors and performs engine exchange.
  • Purchases and picks up parts when required.
  • Maintains daily log of activities and repairs.
  • Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Operates high speed grinders, drill press, MIG or stick welders, cutting torch, air impact, specialty tools, hydraulic press and any other tools as required.
  • Maintains work area according to plant standard for safety, efficiency and cleanliness.
  • Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.

 

You and your experience:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Trade school in mechanical coursework preferred
  • Requires two-year work-related experience
  • MSHA certification preferred

  • Previous Diesel Mechanic Experience
