PABCO® Gypsum, a division of PABCO® Building Products LLC, has provided quality gypsum board products and service for over 35 years.  PABCO® Gypsum supplies a complete line of gypsum products for commercial and residential construction.

 

Our Las Vegas, NV location is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative/Dispatcher to join our team.

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilitiesmay include some, or all, of the following:

  • Receives and processes incoming customer orders for materials and/or products from company employees or individual customers.
  • Prepares orders for shipment and/or secures freight carriers as required. 
  • Routes orders to departments for filling and follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
  • May resolve routine issues with carriers, including customer complaints, liability issues and rate discrepancies.
  • Provides customer support by answering general product questions, directing customers to website and distributing product brochures and samples.
  • Enters purchase orders into SAP.  Ensures that current rates and fuel surcharges are applied.  Reviews freight bills for accuracy.
  • Notifies a more senior customer service representative when orders might deplete stock.
  • Reviews and edits orders for price, nomenclature, completeness and clarity.
  • Informs customers of unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by customer.
  • Maintains customer files with sales contracts and other information.
  • Establishes and maintains excellent customer relations.
  • Provides backup support and assistance to the shipping department.
  • Initiates purchase requisitions.
  • Prepares customer invoices, credits and returns.
  • Prepares shipping documents, such as Bills of Lading.
  • Prepares export orders for shipment.
  • All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma;
  • Up to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or
  •  equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication Ability:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and via email with customers, employees and vendors.

Computer Skills: 

  • Must be able to operate a personal computer and other various standard office machines and equipment necessary to complete duties
