PABCO, a building product company that values individuals and their families has a job opening for an Customer Service Representative/Dispatcher at PABCO Gypsum in Las Vegas, NV.

Essential Duties and Responsibilites: may include some or all of the following

 

  • Receives and processes incoming customer orders for materials and/or products from company employees or individual customers.
  • Prepares order paperwork for shipment and/or secures freight carriers as required.
  • Routes orders to departments for filling and follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
  • May resolve routine issues with carriers, including customer complaints, liability issues, and rate discrepancies.
  • Provides customer support by answering general product questions, directing customers to website, and distributing product brochures and samples.
  • Enters purchase orders into SAP.  Updates and maintains freight rate tables in SAP.
  • Notifies a more senior customer service representative when orders might deplete stock. Reviews and edits orders for price, nomenclature, completeness, and clarity.
  • Informs customers of shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
  • Maintains customer contact file, preferences, and other information. Establishes and maintains excellent customer relations.
  • Provides assistance to the shipping department as needed.
  • Processes credit requests and returns.
  • Answers telephone calls and refers calls to appropriate staff.  Greets and answers questions from visitors.
  • Prepares/compiles and distributes routine to moderately complex reports.
  • Prepares correspondence to vendors as needed.
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail and faxes.
  • Maintains inventory and purchases office supplies as needed.
  • Organizes lunches for visitors and meetings.
  • Picks up office or meeting supplies as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma;
  • Up to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or
  • equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Communication Ability:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and via email with customers, employees and vendors.

 

Computer Skills:

  • Must be able to operate a personal computer and other various standard office machines and equipment necessary to complete duties.

 

 

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Stand, walk, and sit.
  • Bend at the waist.
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
