POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Yard Services Supervisor, this position supports the yard in all areas of plant; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Sorts and loads brick onto the octagon machine
• Cuts brick according to specifications
• Repairs broken wooden pallets and skids
• Cleans loose or broken brick from yard area
• Performs a variety of general labor duties such as grogging brick
• Work in other areas of the plant including packaging break away thin brick on line 4
• Maintains work area according to company specifications for cleanliness and safety
• All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representative
• Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• Predictable and Regular in-person attendance is required
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Requires on the job training to be able to perform duties
• Mustst be able to communicate effectively with peers, customers, and supervisors
• Basic reading, writing and math skills
• Ability to follow simple instructions
• Ability to use and operate electric masonry saws, torches, hand banders and wrenches
• Predictable and regular attendance is required

• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk and listen; Stand, walk, and sit.
