POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Location Manager, this position supervises the Customer Service employees at the Contractor and Retail Counter, supervises the Sparks drivers and supervises the forklift operators. This position oversees Dispatch, Purchasing, Inventory Management, as well as daily location duties and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


  • Ability to multi-task, manage both sales counters and or the yard duties depending on which activity needs the immediate attention.
  • Ability to pick future talented employees, train, mentor, and develop.
  • Acknowledge and assist all customers in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Ensure all equipment is safety inspected daily and repaired if needed by working closely with the Carson shop, including forklifts, semi-trucks, trailers, the Loader and various other equipment.
  • Expedites the loading and unloading of customers and company vehicles.
  • Sustain a clean and safe yard utilizing the 5S housekeeping program.
  • Control Inventory Loss by sustaining the Cycle Counting program by utilizing SAP.
  • Count and or input daily Cycle Counts in a timely manner, monitor all cycle count documents and get them resolved or deleted in a timely manner.
  • Develops a working knowledge of all products inventoried and how they are installed, ability to train employees, lead team.
  • Perform yard security functions at the end of shift, ensure equipment is stored in designated areas, lock vehicles and remove keys. Make sure gates and warehouses are locked.
  • Works with Basalite Nevada Safety Coordinator; attends and helps facilitate safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Regular attendance is required, including some weekend shifts.
  • Participate in and follow the 5S program to expected levels.
  • Answer transferred or paged telephone calls, emails, and two-way radio with a positive attitude.
  • Provide customer service/sales to contractors and retail customers.
  • Input Standard/Rush orders, Quotes, and Returns accurately into SAP.
  • Work closely with Sparks and or Carson dispatch to ensure correct product is delivered on agreed time with the customer.
  • Email, receive, and respond to information in a professional manner.
  • Manage and/or oversee all Purchasing responsibilities.
  • Any further duties/responsibilities earned or set forth by management.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one-year managers experience preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with peers and superiors.
  • Must have basic reading and writing skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills required; counting, addition/subtraction, multiplication.
  • Basic computer skills; Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel. SAP knowledge is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of Basalite products and how they are installed.
  • Multitask at a fast pace with the ability to delegate.
  • Regular attendance is required.

  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; Reach with hands and arms; talk and listen; stand, walk, and sit.
  • Stacking block, pavers, sacks, brick.
  • Occasionally required to bend at the waist
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; anything heavier requires assistance.
