POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Customer Service & Logistics Manager, this position supports the customer service and logistics departments in all areas and is responsible for driving trucks to pick up and deliver products. This position is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Fills out log books, E-logs, work sheets, and reports.
- Performs customer service tasks as necessary.
- Checks load to orders and is responsible for leaving plant with correct products and quantities.
- Secures loads with ropes, straps, stake side racks, and tarps.
- Determines types of equipment to be used for jobs.
- Transports products where needed to customers, stores, and yards.
- Loads and unloads trucks as needed.
- Maintains and fuels trucks and performs inspections on equipment.
- Maintains work area according to company standards for cleanliness.
- Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
- Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- Predictable and Regular attendance is required.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ commercial driving experience required.
- Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.
- Requires on-the-job training to perform the duties of the job.
- Ability to operate forklifts and drives a variety of trucks including doubles, T & T semi’s, and dry vans.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a valid California Class A driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

Salary: Hourly - $28-$31/hour depending on experience
