H.C. Muddox also offers custom shapes, sizes and colors in a range of products.
(CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE)
$25 - $28 / hour Depending on Qualifications and Experience
WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE: Under supervision of the Regional Sales Manager and National Sales Manager, this position supports Outsides Sales Representatives and Customers. This position requires providing sales assistance, general customer service over the phone and in person to commercial and retail customers, dealers, and truck drivers. This role is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Answers phones in a courteous and friendly manner and assists customers with general sales questions.
- Provide administrative support to upper-level management, technical and sales team.
- Enter sales order and change orders into SAP and distribute copies to appropriate departments.
- Informs customers of unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by customer – communication is vital.
- Provide marketing support for samples, brochures and information requests by Sales rep and Inside Sales Representative.
- Maintains job files with sales documents and other information.
- Answer any questions in regard to product, orders, invoicing and pricing.
- Perform stock checks and material availability in SAP and in the yard.
- Establishes and maintains excellent customer relations.
- Issues invoices, returns for credit, credit and debit memos following the guidelines outlined by policy.
- Occasional visits to dealers and contractors to distribute product samples, brochures and maintain indoor and/or outdoor product displays.
- Become knowledgeable of similar and competitive products and recommended installation requirements.
- Keep sales office area organized, stocked with samples, and uncluttered.
- Maintain and oversee the front office area and ensures a safe environment for customers and employees. Abides by all company and government rules and regulations.
- Performs all other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representative.
- Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- Predictable and regular attendance is required.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of prior experience in customer service, administrative and/or general business operations preferred. Experience in masonry industry a plus.
- Engaging verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with the sales team, contractors, dealers, customers and superiors effectively and efficiently.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- On the job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
- Basic math skills and computer skills a must. The ability to use SAP, Salesforce and masonry
- Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; Reach with hands and arms; talk and listen; stand, walk, and sit.
- Lifting up-to 50 pounds
- Frequently drive a personal vehicle to visit customers as directed, 5-10% travel time.
