POSITION SUMMARY:  Under the supervision the Operations Manager, this position oversees the plants accounting operations to ensure financial and data accuracy. Performs manufacturing variance analysis, audits, compilation of statistical and analytical reports, and supervises administrative functions of the plant. Duties include written and verbal communications with plant management, operations support staff and Subsidiary finance department;  and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

      SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General

  • Oversees the plants accounting operation to ensure financial reporting and data accuracy.
  • Manage the budget process.
  • Supervises Accounts Payable.
  • Oversee month-end close process.
  • Compile and generates monthly operations report.
  • Review cost center and internal order reports on weekly basis for accuracy.
  • Perform plant audit functions (A/P, Inventory, Internal control).
  • Analyze actual to standards variances, report differences to management with recommendation for standard changes and/or cost saving process changes.
  • Assists Local Management, operational staff and Subsidiary Finance department as needed.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

  • Appropriate four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and/or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ supervisory experience and a minimum of 5 years in the accounting field.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Payroll and Human Resources experience a plus.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment to enable effective interaction and the ability to motivate team members including peers.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines and must be able to manage multiple tasks to completion at the same time.
  • Working skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and Microsoft Access and automated accounting systems (SAP experience preferred).
  • Predictabe and Regular attendance is required.
  • Must be able to travel when necessary.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Salary Range $75,000-$85,000 / Annually, DOE
