Salary Range $19.00-$21.00/hr. DOE 

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, this position supports the Customer Service, Dispatch, Sales and Administrative Teams in all areas of these departments; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

  • Answers phones in a courteous and friendly manner and refers calls to appropriate party.
  • Responsible for training new hires/current employees within the department.
  • Performs physical outside truck checks for discrepancies regarding descriptions and quantities on SAP load paperwork.
  • Confers with Management regarding inventory shortages with scheduled delivery dates.
  • Coordinates with other plant staff for dealers and displays shipments.
  • Provide marketing support for samples, catalogs, and information requests by Sales Reps and Inside Sales Coordinator.
  • Assists in maintenance and inventory of marketing materials.
  • Work with Sales teams to coordinate custom order requests and to help provide superior customer service.
  • Develop a working knowledge of all products and recommend installation requirements as well as established procedures.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of both indoor and outdoor product displays.
  • Answer any questions with regards to product and orders
  • Assist with coordinating efficient/cost effective means of transportation for special order material, and production supplies.
  • Maintains contact and provides internal support to Sales Representative.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
  • Provide communication between inside and outside sales.
  • Coordinate marketing events/contractor education classes.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting responsibilities for retention per company policies.
  • Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of administering duties and responsibilities.
  • Participates in physical semi-annual inventory counts. Two weekends required per calendar year.
  • Works with all sales staff; Outside Sales, Inside Sales and Inside Sales Coordinator.
  • Keep area clean and organized.
  • Abides by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies; and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Predicable and regular attendance is required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

  • High school education or equivalent required, some college level courses are a plus.
  • Three years’ customer service/dispatch experience required. Strong experience in the concrete block and/or sack industry preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong aptitude for organizing personal tasks and repetitive duties in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have effective communication, teamwork, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate commitment to consistently delivering the highest quality customer service.
  • On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform all duties.
  • Requires basic computer knowledge skills.
  • Working knowledge of the operations of a 10-key adding machine, copier, facsimile machine and any other office equipment required to perform duties.
  • Valid Driver’s license (required for sales show attendance, etc. 10% travel)
  • Must have construction equipment experience including i.e., mechanical hand tools, skidsteer, construction saws and hauling is preferred but not required.
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

  • Up to 10% travel time required.
