POSITION SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of the Swift River Superintendent, this position is responsible for supporting the manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs, overseeing machining accuracy, and driving continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

CNC Programming & Operation
- Program, set up, and operate CNC equipment to produce precision parts per design specifications.
- Create and maintain CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent).
- Layout, read, and interpret blueprints, drawings, and CAD models to determine machining processes.
- Select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds for efficient and accurate machining.
- Maintain organized files, setup sheets, and tool libraries.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to minimize downtime.
Shop Floor Efficiency & Process Improvement
- Track and report key production metrics such as uptime, downtime, and throughput.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to increase productivity.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production staff to reduce waste and improve workflow.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for machine operation and maintenance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma principles.
- Train operators on programming changes, new equipment, and efficiency methods.
- All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
- Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- Predictable and Regular attendance is required.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Associate degree or technical certificate in Machining Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming and machining experience required.
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Advanced knowledge of CNC machining, G-code, and tooling applications.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on process optimization.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or process improvement methodologies preferred.
- Requires a valid driver’s license.
- Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.

- Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, climbing, or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, and manual dexterity.
- Driving a motor vehicle for long and short distances
- Must be able to lift up-to 75 lbs. continuously and up-to 100 lbs. occasionally.

Salary Range $75,000 - $82,000 Annually, DOE
