Under the supervision of the Office Manager, this position is responsible for driving trucks to pick up and deliver products; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation, and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Prepares necessary paperwork including e-logs, inspections, worksheets, hand tags, fuel, and mileage records.
- Secures loads with ropes, straps, brick boards and tarps.
- Knowledge of securing down and tarping loads.
- Unties and removes tarps at destination.
- Determines types of equipment to be used for jobs.
- Transports products to customers, stores, yards, and jobsites.
- Loads and unloads trucks as needed.
- Maintains and fuels trucks and performs inspections on equipment.
- Maintains work area according to company standards for cleanliness.
- Knowledge of and compliance with Department of Transportation / Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, including, but not limited to, hours of service, daily vehicle inspection reports and securing loads.
- Performs daily inspection of tractor and trailer.
- Ensures equipment is properly maintained by checking all fluid levels on a daily basis.
- Chains and unchains vehicles when weather requires.
- Occasional trips to and from Washington state
- Fuels trucks and washes windows as needed.
- Keeps the interior of the vehicle clean.
- Calls Dispatcher for loads and locations in both Redmond and Prineville.
- Assists other truck drivers when needed.
- Assists with loading and/or unloading or unload trailers using a forklift.
- All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
- Attends and abides by all safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- Predictable and Regular attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.
- Requires on-the-job training to perform the duties of the job.
- Must be able to obtain forklift certification by Basalite and operate forklifts and drives a variety of trucks including doubles, T & T semis.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a valid Oregon CDL driver’s license and a good driving record and be certified to operate a sit-down forklift.
- Predictable and Regular attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

- Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, climbing, or balancing, simple grasping with hands, Pushing and pulling, reach with hands and arms.
- Repetitive use of right/left hand and arm.
- Operation of foot controls with repetitive foot movement.
- Lifting up-to 70 pounds.
