POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, this position supports the Deco Rock department in all areas of production and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Shift 3:00 am - 1:30 pm - $20.00

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Continuously observes operation of crew and performs a variety of personnel functions including training, hiring, and disciplinary action with direct involvement of management.

• Oversees all Deco Rock Plant functions.

• Checks equipment for proper function and operation.

• Maintains work area clean and clutter free per company standards.

• Monitors efficiencies and manufacturing scrap.

• Monitors quality of all materials and finished goods.

• Collaborates with management and maintenance team to coordinate plant maintenance

• Assigns work to production employees.

• Minimizes down time in various areas of production.

• Posts daily production and populates/presents analytical reports.

• Operates a forklift in an efficient and safe manner.

• Assist with mid- and year-end finished goods inventories

• Leads safety meetings and administers safety training as needed to direct reports.

• Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

• Regular attendance is required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two (2) to four (4) year-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in manufacturing.

• Must have working knowledge in production and associated products.

• On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.

• Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.

• Working knowledge of SAP software preferred.

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with peers, supervisors and customers.

• Ability to operate a front-loader, forklift, and any other equipment required to performed duties.

• Ability to multi-task, be a working supervisor, and manage and motivate others effectively.

• Valid Driver’s License (Class D).

• Regular attendance is required.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk and listen; Stand, walk, and sit.

• Required to constantly bend at the waist; Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

• Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

• Regular attendance is required.
