POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Deco Rock Production Supervisor, this position supports the Deco Rock and Wet Cast Departments in all areas of Production. This position operates various mobile and stationary equipment, while verifying the machines are running properly and safely. This position is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Understands all aggregates and daily production schedule.

• Completes daily pre-trip inspection of mobile equipment.

• Completes scheduled daily preventative maintenance.

• Assists in weekly and monthly preventive maintenance with assistance from maintenance team.

• Pushes up all loads that are delivered by aggregate hauls trucks.

• Fills aggregate bins as needed throughout the day.

• Loads truck with scrap when needed.

• Keeps work area clean and organized including the area around hoppers and transfer points clean.

• Empties local trash bins into site bins for collection.

• Fills in for plant personnel for meal/break periods as needed and when primary personnel are absent.

• Attends safety meetings and abide by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

• Regular attendance is required.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of two years’ experience in operating a front-end loader or other comparable heavy equipment; must be able to obtain certification through Classic Stone training program.

• On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.

• Able to follow all safety procedures and rules.

• Ability to shovel and perform general clean up duties.

• Must be able to read, speak and write to be able to understand and follow basic instructions; and communicate with supervisors and peers effectively.

• Basic math is required.

• Must be able to follow directions and work with little or no supervision.

• Must be able to adapt to flexible start and end work schedules.

• Regular attendance is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and reaching with hands and arms.

• Required to bend at the waist and stand for extended time; Lift and/or move up-to 50 pounds and up-to 100 lbs. with assistance.

• Regular attendance is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Plant environment with moderate to loud noise, dirty, exposure to dust and moving machinery.

• Works near moving mechanical parts, works in high precarious places, heat or cold (non- weather conditions), vibration.
