SALES REPRESENTATIVE 

 

$50,000 - $55,000 Annual Salary Depending on Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in similar industry or comparable training; minimum of 5 years sales experience in the construction/manufacturing industry. Must be a self-starter and be able to work with little supervision. Knowledge of construction, ability to read plans and provide estimates for materials needed on projects; working knowledge of local codes, ASTM and NCMA standards preferred. Good reading, writing and math skills as well as Excel and Word. Must have ability to verbally communicate highly technical information to the professional community.

WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE: 

Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, this position sells\specifies the various products that Basalite manufactures to various customers. Contacts customers primarily in person and by telephone. Customers include, contractors, dealers, design professionals, builders, homeowners, etc. Conducts formal presentations on Basalite products to above listed customers to obtain specifications. Educates potential customers regarding company's products. Educate contractors on various products we manufacture and resale, bid on the various types of products for commercial or residential work. Gives job quotes and meets with customers to discuss production timetables and provide any clarification needed for orders. Performs post bid job follow-ups. Educates specifiers of new products, helps build contractor network and assist in marketing of products; attends in house sales meeting and contractor's meeting. and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success.
