POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Superintendent, this position supports the Maintenance Department in all areas of equipment and mold maintenance (repair and set up); and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

  • Verifies molds meet Company’s standards.
  • Sets up molds for production.
  • Repairs and clean mold components.
  • Troubleshoots by reading mold’s schematics and make repairs.
  • Use Grinder/ wire wheels/ chipping guns/ pressure washer and hand and pneumatic tools.
  • Document Mold wear and damage on mold inspection sheets.
  • Helps with maintenance as needed. Assist with maintenance projects, parts changes and breakdowns.
  • Must perform and maintain companies 5S standards.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Regular attendance is required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Able to operate a forklift and have six (6) months of forklift experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, customers, vendors and superiors verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer plus related software and other various standard office machines and equipment necessary to complete duties.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
  • Regular attendance is required.

  • Occasionally required to bend at the waist; Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Simple grasping with both right and left hands.

  • Plant environment with moderate to very loud noise, dusty and dirty.
  • Works near moving mechanical parts, works in high precarious places, outdoor weather conditions, heat or cold (non-weather) conditions, risk of electrical shock, vibration.
  • Wear mandatory and/or other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

 

Salary Range: $21.00 - $22.00 / Hour, DOE
