POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Yard Superintendent, this position is responsible for driving trucks to pick-up and deliver products as well as loading customers in the yard; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

  • Maintains E-Logs and records pre/post trips daily. Use of paper logs, as needed.
  • Secures loads with ropes, straps, brick boards and tarps.
  • Determines types of equipment to be used for jobs.
  • Transports products throughout Idaho, and Oregon to customers, stores, yards, and jobsites.
  • Transports raw material to and from plant as needed.
  • Loads and unloads trucks, customers by means of hand stacking and/or by forklift.
  • Maintains and fuels trucks, forklifts, and performs inspections on equipment before use including checking and maintaining oil and water.
  • Arranges product in the yard and warehouses and keeps product straight and orderly.
  • Checks all products for quality issues.
  • Organizes and moves pallets to various yard locations as needed.
  • Dumps skip buckets of broken or damaged product.
  • Performs and signs required paperwork.
  • Maintains work area according to company standards for cleanliness.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Requires on-the-job training to perform the duties of the job.
  • Requires basic math, reading skills.
  • Ability to operate Princeton and other types of forklifts and drive a variety of trucks including Flatbed, Cement Trailers and Dump Truck. Semi, doubles, and dump pup.
  • Must be able to drop and hook a variety of trailers which may accompany the above listed truck combinations.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a valid Idaho Class A CDL driver’s license with double/triple indorsements and a good driving record and be certified to operate a forklift.
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

  • Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reach with hands and arms.

Salary: $20.00 / DOE
