Machine Operator, Plastics (Washline Req 17176)

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Plant Superintendent, this position supports various bale breaker and wash line machines, verifies machines are running properly and safely; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Verifies that all production machines are running properly and safely.
• Is responsible for quality production runs
• Completes any required reports properly
• Observes machine while running.
• Operates bale breaker and wash line as instructed.
• Watches sorting line for proper functioning
• Make adjustments to material processing as needed.
• Operates shaker screen as instructed.
• Keeps work area clean
• Attends safety meetings and obeys all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• Regular and Predictable attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
• Machine Operator experience preferred
• Manufacturing production machinery experience preferred.
• Ability to operate bale breaker, wash line, shaker screen, and any other equipment required to perform duties.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers, customers, and superiors.
• Requires basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
• Regular and Predictable attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Pay rate range: $23-$23/hour
