POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for accounts receivable, collections, records all incoming expenses, performs accounts payable entries, basic administrative support, and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


  • Matches invoices to appropriate receiver tags (and purchase orders when applicable).
  • Reviews invoices for quantity and pricing accuracy and works to resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensures that appropriate account coding is used and that required managerial approvals are obtained.
  • Scans all invoices and backup paperwork for in-house invoice verification/payment.
  • Adheres to established Accounts Payable protocol as defined.
  • Files all invoices and purchase orders in appropriate files.
  • Responds to vendor phone calls/inquiries.
  • Assists in any research or special projects as needed.
  • Responsible for credits and collections decisions and actions.
  • Responsible for application of cash and support for lien release documentation.
  • Performs accounting functions including aging accounts.
  • Performs accounting research and special projects as requested.
  • Gives rebates and credits as needed.
  • Files all required documents and paper work.
  • Assists with phone coverage as needed.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Regular attendance is required.




QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  • High school education or equivalent plus college level accounting.
  • Five years’ experience in collections and accounts receivable preferred.
  • On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
  • Training and experience are interchangeable on a year for year basis.
  • Requires good reading, writing and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to operate personal computer, printer, calculator, copier, facsimile machine and any other equipment required to perform duties, and phone systems.
  • Regular attendance is required.
