WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE:
Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, this position supports production planning and inventory control and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Prepare and distribute weekly production schedules for the Pipe, Roof tile and Floor tile and other secondary operations.
- Preform production postings daily.
- Perform daily labor efficiencies reports by department and material.
- Analyze plants inventory turns and slow-moving inventory.
- Create material codes in SAP, when necessary.
- Maintain material code master data.
- Responsible to maintain appropriate minimum/maximum inventory levels for stock materials. Working with Sales Manager and Plant Manager.
- Prepare and manage monthly inventory reconciliation, including finished goods, raw materials, and resale items.
- Coordinate with yard/plant personnel to preform daily inventory cycle counts.
- Coordinate product transfers between plants.
- Plan and prepare facility for mid-year and annual plant-wide inventory.
- Manage company compliance/regulatory reporting with outside government agencies.
- Assist in any research or special projects as needed.
- Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- Predictable and Regular attendance is required.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Two years of college or equivalent on the job experience.
- Requires knowledge of production processes and raw materials.
- Ability to use and operate a personal computer, spreadsheet and word processing software, copier, company terminal, calculator, 10-key adding machine, facsimile machine, multiple phone lines, and any other office equipment required to perform duties.
- Knowledge of basic SAP navigation.
- Requires excellent written and oral communication, mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Predictable and Regular attendance is required.
