WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE: 

Under the supervision of the department supervisor, this position supports the models and molds in all areas of the terra cotta department and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Fabricates all types of plaster-of-paris molds to specifications, working from full size models.
  • Determines how many separate pieces must be made on each mold to effect proper pressing.
  • Assists in moving plaster to the work area.
  • Cleans and maintains the work area.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by either the President, the company, or its designated representative.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • One-year experience in working with plaster molds in the industry.
  • Requires basic math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and become forklift certified.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment such as scrapers, hand tools, saws, squares, and wood cutting tools.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions. 
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required.
