POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Regional Manufacturing Manager, the Production Planner is responsible for interpreting the sales funnel / sales volume forecast and the regional production capacity reports in order to generate a 6-month production schedule. The Production Planner will conduct a weekly production meeting to review proposed schedule with Sales, Production and Inventory Management to achieve consensus on plan and adjust as deemed appropriate. The Production Planner works with Production and Inventory Management to establish new product codes, product routings and inventory management plans. The production planner will confirm daily production reporting and material counts to validate achievement of plan and adjust schedule as needed; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000/YR DOE

Primary Responsibilities
- Generate and maintain Regional Production Schedules
- Lead weekly Production Planning meetings to review production schedule, address priorities and verify production capacity.
Custom Products
- Review Sales funnel / forecast to evaluate regional demands.
- Work with regional production analyst and product specialist to set up new material codes as needed, creating additional BOM’s, Routings and Production Versions and ensuring SAP master data accuracy.
- Interpret and enter new sales order demands into production schedules.
Stock Products
- Review and interpret standard product sales/movement trends to establish needed production capacity for standard product.
- Work with Yard Manager and Dispatch to trend product movements.
- Monitor regional inventory levels and address schedule needs to maintain proper Min / Max stock levels.
Secondary Operations
- Review Sales funnel / forecast to evaluate regional demands for product needing secondary treatments (Cutting, Splitting, Grinding, Tumbling and Shot Blast)
- Work with production to determine best method of production for each product and most efficient production schedule sequence.
- Work with regional production analyst to set up new material codes as needed, creating additional BOM’s, Routings and Production Versions and ensuring SAP master data accuracy.
- Update Regional Secondary Operations Schedule with new orders and coordinate with sales on order lead times.
Other Duties
- Must be able to create reports detailing production plan, plant capacity and schedule accuracy.
- Assists in the month end and semi-annual inventories.
- Must be able to work with mold department to understand mold setup, rebuilds and usage schedule.
- Attends safety meeting and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected immediately.
- All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
- Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty/responsibility defined above satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Requires two years of college or the equivalent on the job experience.
- Requires knowledge of production equipment: block machines and automation, production processes and capacity planning for such equipment
- On-the-job training is required to be able to perform essential duties listed above.
- General understanding of all operations related to block production lines , wet cast production line, and secondary operations: cutting, splitting, grinding, tumbling and shot blast.
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Proven ability to lead effective meetings.
- Commitment to team concepts and high-quality production
- Ability to deal with subordinates, inter-company personnel, vendors, customers and outside agencies in professional manner.
- Able to always act professionally.
- Mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Highly proficient at general computer skills
- Knowledge of SAP Production Planning, Materials Management modules
- Ability to Run and monitor SAP planning tools such as MRP and ZMMM_MRP
- Ability to run and monitor SAP product movement tools such as MB51.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.
