BCP - Wet Cast Operator

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Superintendent, this position supports secondary operations of block production which includes splitting, cutting, grinding, blasting, and tumbling.  This position will work in a team environment to execute the secondary operation needs of the day, often rotating tasks / functions to support production schedule needs.  The operator will ensure proper machine functionality, production efficiency and verify product quality and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General

  • Operates forklift and demolder and batching system in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Checks molds for wear and proper coloring.
  • Keeps track of inventory products for production.
  • Feeds production line.
  • Accurately fills out daily wet cast reports
  • Supervises and delegates duties to subordinates.
  • Checks blocks for proper quality (color, chipping).
  • Cleans up work area.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.
  • On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
  • Production line experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate demolder, vacuum lift, forklift and any other equipment required to perform duties.
  • Regular attendance is required.

SALARY EXPECTATIONS     

  • $20.00 to $23.00 Hourly
