WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE: 

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Superintendent, this position maintains and repairs machinery and equipment; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Performs PM services, and inspections.
• Trouble-shoot, and diagnose engine, transmission, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Make repairs, and replace worn or damaged parts as needed.
• Requests parts quotes, and maintains inventory.
• Fills out required paper work including work orders, and service check lists.
• Verifies tire work that is performed.
• Determines if machine must be shut down for repairs.
• Determines if company has facilities to make required repairs.
• Operates forklift, front-end loader, aerial equipment, drill press, welders, grinder, digital voltmeters and any other equipment required to perform duties.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with vendors, maintenance or production personnel and other related administration personnel, i.e., supervisor, purchasing staff, or plant manager.
• Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• Predictable and Regular in-person attendance is required.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years welding and machinery maintenance experience required.
• Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
• Basic Math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide
• Must be an excellent troubleshooter of electrical and maintenance repair issues.
• Must have working knowledge of PLCs and computer operated equipment.
• Valid Driver’s license is required.
• Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk and listen; Stand, walk, and sit.
• Occasionally required to bend at the waist; Lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
